Today is ridiculously hot. Mac won't move off of the air conditioning vent. I've not been inspired to anything today, except for closing blinds inside and out, which tends to make one claustrophobic.
I did finish a layout that I started the other day (click photo for larger view). I'm trying to get
back in the scrapping mode. This creative drought has been going on
for a few months now. I decided to, once again, try scraplifting a
page to see if that helps. We'll see, I guess. I found mrsstingfish's "Sparkle" over
at Digishoptalk. I've mentioned, before, that sometimes I 'lift a
general idea. Other times, such as this, I like the layout so much that
I just 'lift the whole thing. I haven't made many pages, yet, of
little Aidan, and I thought he would be perfect for this one.
I hope it's much more pleasant, wherever you happen to be. If it is, I envy you!
Oh! I'm happy to report that I think my mom is going to make it through all of this back surgery situation! It was touch and go for a while, as you might guess (not for her, her caregivers), but it seems as though she's getting through the days a bit easier. I'm sure she'll need much more time to recuperate completely, but I'm glad she's doing better. The first couple of weeks, I could hear, over the phone, that she was in a lot of pain. She sounds more like herself, now. As long as everyone (Daddy) keeps their sense of humor, I think all should fare quite well!
